Strategy

By Rob552 wordsconcept-notes

The following is a plan to redeploy the status quo and ensure a true democracy uncorrupted by decisions of the past. We should not have to live in a world constrained by the decisions made by those operating with less information and more primitive technology, especially considering those exalted forerunners so oft explicitly baked-in the means in which it could be updated.

The following proposal creates a paradigm not beset with the issues of trust and therefore ensures greater efficiency for all participants.

The new government is the cloud – we can govern ourselves.

Step 1 – Design the Network

Control chip flow. Need to be able to offer machinery at cost. At cost includes “rent taking”, e.g. people who are employed and therefore must turn a small profit.

Design a chip in conjunction with a partner. Potential partners include…

Leverage kickstarter to make this a crowdfunded objective.

Note that by promoting the eventual goal into the business, it depresses competition since odds are we’d be very vocal about our ultimate intentions.

Step 2 – Grow the Network

Design a system of raising “debt” for which the system can grow itself as resource demands increase. The network should be able to instantiate additional resources if economic conditions require it, much like a country does today. Secure the purchase of new machines with a blockchain as a standardized contract that yields the buyer the returns.

Contracts would operate like futures and be standardized based on electricity rates and contingencies for error. Contracts could be overcollateralized and tranched to allocate risk more granularly across the system.

The presence of this standardized set of contracts will also provide other benefits. The system will become more predictable and stable, where traded values of such contracts could act as interest rates and provide information about the market’s consensus on future assumptions.

Step 3 – Distribute the Network

A cloud of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Sources

Distribute the actual hardware to all locations where electric space heating is desired – those places where it is not economically feasible to use alternative sources, nor pipe in unsustainable ones. Anywhere where electrons are yanked out of the wall and squiggled off as heat are candidates. Note that heating sources may include cooling sources as heat is used in the transfer of energy across a differential.

Scaling

Large, new construction should be the first targeted use case, as maximum efficiency can be leveraged using mineral oils and liquid transfer of heat. Eventually build consumer units for heating and cooling.

Step 4 – Deploy the Network

Widespread dependency on blockchain and the already established and exponentially growing need for cloud infrastructure will drive the previous three steps.

The Basket of Deployables

Before blockchain is widely accepted (think Facebook in 2004), we will aim to disrupt areas that have profited off of our lack of trust. Any third party intermediary that takes a cut should be targeted first, with a moral skew to selection of use cases where possible. Current candidates for disruption include:

Event tickets (ticketmaster, stubhub)

E-Book Publishing

Voting

Eventually,

Step 5 – Return the Network to the People

IPO for 100% on a network which prevents people’s ability to gain complete control through illegitimate means (will likely be on one of the basket of deployables).
